Meet Benny and Coby (adopted at age 12, now 14) (Adopted 7/27/2017).
“Two years later, he is still happy and healthy!”
“I have a friend in my class at school and her mom is the vet at Annenberg PetSpace. I was curious about what was going on there, so I paid them a visit!
I love German Shepherds – I have always loved them. When I saw this German Shepherd, my brain exploded. Coby was sleeping and he looked like my dream dog. My aunt Mimi who took me to PetSpace, commented that he was an old dog, 12 years old.
We left, and I told my parents about Coby. I couldn’t stop thinking about him and I was crossing my fingers when I went to bed, hoping that I could adopt him. About a month later, we went back and brought our younger dog, Peeti to meet Coby. They loved each other and we all decided, even though he was old and might not live long, to bring him home. Two years later, he is still happy and healthy!
Coby fit right in to our crazy household. He was afraid to go up the stairs at first, but we trained him to go up with food. He loves snacks. He has completely changed our routine and barks at us when we eat. He won’t leave the house unless we all go and he LOVES car rides!
He is focused on guarding my mom and spends all day with her. He flops his ears, and he loves sitting in the middle of the street. He LOVES the ocean and loves to get his feet wet. He doesn’t like the sound of electric guitars and he loves to growl at Kyle, my mom’s assistant. He loves his pup-sister Peeti, and she licks his eyeballs!
The best part of being a pet parent to Coby is that he’s a great companion. He sits on my feet in my bed at bedtime.”
