Meet Dina & Bitsy (Adopted 6/9/2018)
“I regularly volunteer at Annenberg PetSpace. Unlike many adopters, I wasn’t looking to add a new pet at the time. The minute I met Bitsy, I fell in love and knew that she was special. I think her sweet disposition reminded me of my dog, Beanie, who passed away three years prior.
Bitsy fit in perfectly with me and my other dog, Barkley. When I first brought her home, she immediately took to her surroundings, claimed her new bed, and was so quick to adjust to her new home and family. There was no “break in” period.
She is always curious about people, and wants to meet/greet them. If she senses that they have an interest in her, she will do her best to charm them into a belly rub or better yet… a treat!
She “purrs” when she is comfortable and is getting a good belly rub or pets. She can run very fast- but only at the sound of a bag of chips being opened. When she gets really excited, she will spin in a circle while sitting. When we are sitting on the sofa, she always has to have her body touching me, my hand has to be on her and it has to be moving. If I stop petting/stroking her, she will nudge me with her muzzle to keep it up.
The best part about being Bitsy’s mom is that I know I’ll have her unconditional love. I know that if I have a bad day at work, I can count on her to make it a good day. Although it may sound cliché, we are like two peas in a pod. You know the old saying that dogs are like their owners? So true in our case.”
