Meet Grace and Cait!
“Some clients recommended PetSpace. Most places weren’t interested in adopting a dog to someone who already had a cat. It was super demoralizing and I’d pretty much given up hope when I made it to PetSpace. Finally, I felt listened to. They asked about my cat and found the perfect addition to our family.
I knew I needed an adult dog that wouldn’t eat my cat. When they introduced me to Grace, I knew immediately she was chill enough to not turn our household upside down. She was super shy, timid, and you could tell she had ALL the trust issues. It took almost 45 minutes for her to come to me, but when she did, I knew I couldn’t leave without her. And I’m SO GLAD I didn’t.⠀.⠀The first few days were kinda tense, for me especially. She didn’t eat for two days. For a few weeks she wouldn’t eat in front of me. She only untucked her tail to go outside. She liked being pet but would look so scared if you came near her. It took about a full month to see most of her insecurities melt away.
I don’t think anything has ever loved me more in my life- EVER. I’ve had dogs before, and they’ve all been excited to see me when I’m home or when I enter the room, but none like Grace. Especially when that energy comes from a dog that used to be so scared to express that level of joy. I can’t imagine my life without her.
She is super obedient and low maintenance. She comes to work with me (I’m a boxing coach and personal trainer), she doesn’t bark much or run away... unless I run away. Then she’s right there. She has multiple standing appointments with several clients of mine who show up to class because they know Grace will be there. It’s how I’ve managed to motivate multiple people to take 5:45am classes.”
I feel like I could go on about her for days!! She’s so special.”
