Pet Photography

It’s a dog’s world and we’re just living in it!

Your dog is everything—and I get that, because mine is too.

With over 20 years of experience working with animals, including nearly a decade in vet med and over ten years in rescue, I bring a level of understanding to pet photography that goes far beyond knowing how to get a dog to sit. I read body language, adjust to each dog's needs, and know how to create a calm, low-pressure environment—whether we’re in the studio, at your home, or out exploring the city.

As a creative, industry-trusted pet photographer based in Los Angeles, I’m known for capturing vibrant, expressive images that reflect your dog’s real personality—not some overly posed version of them. These sessions are fun, relaxed, and tailored to your dog’s comfort. The result? Timeless, high-quality photos that celebrate who they truly are.

If you're looking for someone who gets it, who understands your dog, you're in the right place.

The Process

The process to get started is simple! If you have any questions, contact me and I'll be happy to help.

Step One

Review my packages and complete my inquiry form.

Let’s get to know each other! Tell me about your pet(s) and photo needs. If you have a specific vision in mind, let me know and I can create a bespoke session.

Step Two

Let the planning begin!

You’ll receive more detailed information about the process, and we can plan via email or a call. Whether at my studio in Silverlake, at your home, or somewhere in LA, we’ll pick the perfect location to help your pet’s personality shine.

Step Three

Be yourself and enjoy the time with your pet.

The photoshoot is meant to be fun! Don’t stress if they’re not on perfect behavior (see my FAQs for more information), and check out my blog for some info on sessions and planning.

Step Four

Pick your pics!

Within 3-4 weeks of your session, you’ll receive an album of selections to choose from. Now for the tough part: choosing your favorites! Once you're ready, I’ll retouch and deliver your selections within 4-5 weeks. Wall art will be ordered and delivered to your home. If you're ordering an album

“It’s clear that Sarah has found her calling. In addition to being a technically skilled photographer, her adoration of and love for her subjects is unmistakeable. I’ve only met Sarah once, but I would trust her with my dog in front of the camera and behind the scenes. The results of my dog’s photo shoot are stunning.”

faq
  • Do you work with big brands?
I work with brands of all sizes, from one-person teams to international companies. Reach out via my contact form to tell me more about your company and photo needs, and I’ll send over a tailored quote.
  • Can you source animal models?
Yes! I have a database of over 400 dog and cat models in Southern California, covering all breeds, ages, and abilities. I can also scout human models if needed. If your budget allows, I also work with Animals of Hollywood, the top animal talent agency in the industry, for access to professionally trained animals with on-set experience. Whether you’re looking for a scruffy rescue, a purebred showstopper, or a scene-stealing duo, I’ve got you covered.
  • Do I need to be at the photoshoot?
You’re welcome to join us, but most clients elect to simply send the products to me and let me work my magic! We can chat more during the planning process to determine what works best for you.
  • What can I use the images for?
In short: Anything you want! I will determine a licensing fee depending on how you plan to use the photos. If you decide to change or add to the usage down the road, that’s totally fine–simply get in touch and we can figure out the licensing details!

Show off your photos!

After your shoot, you’re going to want to display your favorite photos of your furry family members! I can work with you to create stunning pieces of artwork to adorn every room of your home. Options include:

Acrylic blocks - Perfect to display around your home (mounted on 1” plexiglass)

Metal prints - Waterproof, scratch-resistant aluminum prints that last forever (excellent statement piece)
