Mork's 2027 Calendar: Third Annual Shoot With an LA Rescue Dog Icon

For the third year in a row, I photographed the calendar for Mork (@morkskywalker), one of the most recognizable rescue dogs in the world. In 2019, Mork was pulled gravely ill from a meat truck in China by Harbin SHS, then brought to the U.S. by Roadogs Rescue, a Southern California nonprofit for medical-needs dogs, where founder Nikki Carvey adopted him.
Today he lives in Los Angeles, thrives despite IBD, skin issues, and a partially collapsed trachea, and serves as an ambassador for medical-needs rescue dogs everywhere.
Mork's calendar is one of my favorite traditions, and these outtakes from his 2027 calendar shoot were too good not to share. The 2027 Mork Calendar is available for pre-order now at morksplanet.com.
